About 50 people evicted from the old B9 Institute in Badalona spent Christmas Eve sleeping under the C-31 bridge, following the building's eviction this week. The situation has reignited political and social tension in the city amidst a housing crisis. According to the involved administrations, not all the evicted accepted the proposed relocation alternatives. On Tuesday, the Govern, social entities from Badalona, and the Sindicatura de Greuges of the Generalitat agreed to offer accommodation to those who, after the eviction of B9, had occupied the old Can Bofí Vell hostel. Concurrently, social entities such as Càritas, Sant Joan de Déu Serveis Socials, and the Fundació Llegat Roca i Pi relocated another 52 evicted individuals to different resources provided by the Generalitat and third-sector organizations.
