Montero Sets Date for Her Departure from the Government: Upon Delivering the Budget and a New Autonomous Financing
The next government crisis already has a date. The First Vice President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, will have to leave the Council of Ministers to face the polls in Andalusia in an election that, unless brought forward, will be next June. There are increasingly more voices, even within the PSOE, warning of the risk of Montero staying too long in Madrid and away from her mission as a candidate in Andalusia, but President Pedro Sánchez has already stated his priorities.
