Israel Recognizes Somaliland as a Sovereign State

Israel, under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu, announced the recognition of Somaliland as a sovereign state on Friday, December 26, becoming the first nation to do so. This action has triggered condemnations from Somalia, the African Union, the Arab League, and dozens of Arab and Islamic countries, while China and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their support for the territorial integrity of Somalia.
