Bixquert Country Club Wins Eight Awards at the Valencian Tennis Gala 2025

The Bixquert Country Club from Xàtiva was the protagonist at the Tennis Gala held in València on December 18th. An annual event organized by the Tennis Federation of the Valencian Community to recognize the effort and sports achievements of clubs, teams, and players, in the various competitions developed throughout the year. The club from Xàtiva won eight awards. In the last edition, the club from Xàtiva achieved recognition and awards in all categories. Two team awards, and six individual awards in all age categories, reflect the good work of the tennis school led by Ximo Revert, and supported by the tireless work of the coaches: Paco Fogués, Isaac Grau, Samuel Revert, and Alejandro Martínez, who have managed to create a tennis factory at all levels, from beginners to the highest competitive level, which is open to anyone from Xàtiva who wants to learn or improve in the world of tennis. The good performance of the youth academy has allowed to place the name of Xàtiva and the Bixquert Country Club at the highest level of Valencian tennis. Thus, the mixed cadet team was honored as the proud champion of the Third Division, which has meant for the club, its return to the silver category. The female children's team was distinguished as the finalist of the First Division in the highest regional category, confirming the very high level of the players from Xàtiva, and their projection towards achieving greater goals. In the individual category, 6 players from Bixquert were awarded. Carme Ballester as the children's doubles champion; Marco Martín, champion in the junior category; Ricardo Soriano as a finalist in doubles at the Spanish University Championship. But not only does the youth shine at the Bixquert Country Club, its veterans also received recognition. Vicent Vidal and Vicent San Martín, as finalists in doubles in the over 60 years category, and Arantxa Suárez, as a finalist in the same category, for over 35. With these results, even more meritorious given the lower demographic potential of the Bixquert Country Club compared to other larger clubs in the Valencian geography, the good moment that tennis is experiencing in the forest environment of the capital of the Costera is demonstrated, and its board invites the citizens of Xàtiva to register as members, and can contribute to making a club that makes history within the Tennis Federation of the Valencian Community even greater.
