Blocking a Protein Stops Cancer in Rodents: The Role of the TAK1 Gene

Scientists discovered that turning off a protein slows down the growth of cancer in mice. The TAK1 gene helps cancer cells to survive the attack of the immune system: its suppression would allow to improve the effectiveness of immunological treatments against different types of cancer.
